Software Engineer
Hey, I am Sarthak
I love learning and building things. This is my corner of the internet, where I write about things that interest me — mostly about software engineering, occasionally something else entirely.
Some random facts about me:
- I love reading philosophy, especially metaphysics. These philosophers helped me deal with nihilism and the meaninglessness of it all — above all Nietzsche (I love this guy, even though I still don’t fully understand him, and that is fine!). Apart from Nietzsche, I have read and truly enjoyed Camus, Schopenhauer, and our good old Stoics: Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, and Epictetus.
- I do not believe in God or anything otherworldly, though I do think we do not understand the true nature of reality, and we may never will.
- I love using reasoning and logical deduction in my daily life, like a mathematician who is careful about every implication they make — though this habit makes me an annoying person to deal with sometimes.
- I am very prone to going down rabbit holes and into perfection loops, and wasting a lot of time. Something I am working on.
